Cowley Cycles Delivery Details
Free delivery is available when spending over £50 on Parts and Accessories.
We send orders by either Royal Mail(small packets and low value items that will fit through letter boxes) or via a tracked service, which will require a signature on receipt. If there is nobody available at the delivery address to accept the delivery, a card will be left to inform the recipient how he or she can collect the parcel. It then becomes the recipient's responsibility to collect the parcel or rearrange delivery with the service. We accept no liability if the delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available. If the recipient fails to contact the service in good time the goods will be returned to us and a charge will be made for re-delivery to that or an alternative address.
In the event that you select a business address for delivery we shall be deemed to have delivered the order to its intended recipient by delivering it to the reception area of the business address.
We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. Additional charges will be made for redirection or for re-delivery due to postcode error. We advise that if you are not sure of the address you should check it using the Post Office postcode and address finding service.
Delivery of Bikes
We offer two types of delivery experience for bikes
Standard Delivery :- Your new bike will be pre-assembled and goes through a pre-delivery inspection then carefully packaged into a suitable cardboard box. Some of the components eg front wheel, handlebars, saddle, pedals need to be removed to enable your bike to fit in the box meaning there will be some partial assembly work to be done when your bike arrives. The assembly work is simple but if you are unsure or unskilled with the use of tools please seek the assistance of a qualified cycle mechanic or opt for our premium service.
Premium Delivery :- Your new bike will be fully assembled and ready to ride. The bike will be delivered by specialist company who will deliver your bike, put on the pedals supplied, or fit ones you may have already have and you are ready to ride. No part assembly work required. This service does take a little longer to deliver than our standard service but ensures when the bike is delivered it is in top class condition reducing the chances of it being damaged in transit.

*Premium Delivery – Delivers your bike boxed, fully assembled and ready to ride. This service is compulsory for the delivery of E-bikes due to standard courier restrictions on the transportation of batteries.

- Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Under The Consumer Regulations 2014 you have the right to cancel your order as long as you do so no later than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or service. However, this right to cancel your order does not apply to Goods which areare exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

- Some health and personal care items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a customer has an early right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. This right is limited to 30 days from the date the customer took ownership of the goods.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
- Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds (if applicable)
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
- If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@cowleycycles.co.uk and send your item to: 6-8 Zetland Street, Northallerton, DL6 1NA, United Kingdom.
- Gifts
Gifts
- If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
- If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
- Shipping
- To return your product, you should mail your product to: 6-8 Zetland Street, Northallerton, DL6 1NA, United Kingdom.
- You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
- Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
